The Challenge
Disability tech entrepreneurs are building products for disabled people but without a grounding in inclusive design, even well-intentioned solutions can miss the mark. Remarkable needed a practical, repeatable learning programme that would give their cohorts the tools to design products that actually work for the people they're intended for.
What I brought
Working with Remarkable's team, I developed digital learning materials on inclusive and accessible design for entrepreneurs, designers and innovators across their accelerator programme. I also was the lead presenter for the online course material that was hosted on Teachable.
The materials were developed through a process of user testing and iteration with disabled people, ensuring the content was grounded in real experience. The programme is now iterated yearly as the accelerator evolves.
What changed
39 inclusive prototypes developed using the design training I presented
9/10 average participant rating across training modules
14 pitches delivered with disabled users involved directly in solution development
"We have now shaped our solutions considering a broad cross section of human perspectives, abilities, and backgrounds enabling us to create products where everyone is included."
